The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection is nearing completion of a new 3,500-seat sanctuary building — the dramatic centerpiece of a $93 million capital improvement plan for its 76-acre Leawood campus near 137th Street and Nall Avenue.

While most of the talk focuses on the stainless-steel sails and the huge stained-glass window, the stone work is also very impressive. Consisting of 25,000sf of dimensional cut stone installed on a radius with a 1 to 4 fallback, this project was challenging and rewarding. Thumbs up to all the unsung masons and laborers who worked on this project. Job well done!
